Book Talk and Signing with Nalini Singh

Sarah from Smart Bitches, Trashy Books interviews Nalini last night at the East Brunswick Barnes and Nobel's store. They talked mostly about the Psy/Changling series. Some things she shared: We'll get pup/cubs in the next book. The next book will probably be a big family style books with all the characters we've met over the last 13 books. Amara won't be getting her own book, but we will see her growth as a background character. Nakita probably won't be getting a book, her story is too complex, but we'll see it unfold during this next arc. Then she did a book signing. I hate having my picture taken so I just like to take a picture of the author signing my book.

Another addition...

...to my signed book collection. I love Chopped which in turn means (at least for me) that I love Ted Allen.  When I heard he was going to be at my local B&N for a book signing, I was super excited and all ready to rush over straight from work.  Then I remembered that my cousin's high school graduation was the same night.   Book Club to the Rescue! My book club meets at B&N and one of the women works there.  She was working the book signing and offered to have a copy signed for me.  YEA!   I really thought that it would just be a randomly signed copy, but nope, it was personalized! I loved the way he signed this!  I can't wait to   try some of the recipes in this cookbook.  Jojo and I are always on the hunt for a good Mac & Cheese recipe and he's got one with Gouda and Cheddar I really want to try!

Amanda Hocking Book Signing

On Tuesday (1/3) I went to a local Barnes & Noble for Amanda Hocking book singing and release for her book Switch the first book in her Trylle Trilogy. She talked about writing, self-publishing, and making the change to sign with a publisher. It was all very interesting. Then she read the prologue from Switched and snagged me! The book had sounded intriguing which is why I went, (I like getting books signed) I figured that the book would end up in my TBR pile. I'm starting Switched right after I finish writing this blog post! After her reading we got our books signed. A friend had come with me and after hearing the prologue decided she wanted to get the book too. I'm going to go start this now!
