It's Monday! What are you reading? May 22

So my plan is, each Monday to update anyone who reads this on what I'm currently reading and what I may have finished in the last week. Currently Reading: Title : Killer Chef Author : James Patterson and Jeffrey J. Keyes Date Started : 5/17/17 Note : No it hasn't taken me this long to read it, I started it and then forgot it at work. Finished Reading: Title : The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck Author : Mark Manson Date Finished : 5/19/17 Stars : 3 Comments : I found some helpful information, but the lack of citations bothered me. Title : Furiously Happy Author : Jenny Lawson Date Finished : 5/20/17 Stars : 5 Comments : Audiobook was great, hearing Jenny read her words added a level of enjoyment. Title : The Tenant of Wildfell Hall Author : Anne Bronte Date Finished : 5/21/17 Stars : 3 Comments : I enjoyed the story, but the format bothered me and made it difficult for me to get into the book.

It's Monday! What are you reading? - May 15

Yea still plodding away at these books. For some reason I'm reading really slow for me. Currently Reading: Title :  The Tenant of Wildfell Hall Author : Anne Bronte Date Started : April 24 Title:   The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life Author : Mark Manson Date Started : April 26 Currently Listening To: Title :  Furiously Happy Author : Jenny Lawson Date Started : April 20 Finished: Title :  Kindred Spirits Author : Rainbow Rowell Date Finished : May 7 Note:  I've read a few of her books and when I saw that this edition was having all proceeds go to the ACLU Foundation I purchased it. I hadn't finished a book in so long, I just wanted to feel like I finished something so a short story was in order and this was the newest purchase on my Nook so it seemed perfect.

Peek Inside a Book - Killer Chef

When I was deciding to come back to the blog I was looking through all the blogging memes that the blogs I read follow. I had done Book Beginnings and The Friday 56 a handful of times, but over at  Mixed Book Bag , JC merged them together and I really like that idea.  So borrowing from her I'm going to start linking up to both Book Beginnings on Friday from  Rose City Reader  and The Friday 56 with  Freda's Voice . My little twist to this; I work in a library IT department. We have two offices separated by a section of the fiction stacks.  Books are always catching my eye and I've gotten pretty good at ignoring them, otherwise, my TBR list would be HUGE.  But these weekly memes give them the chance to see if the book would be worth checking out. This week the book Killer Chef  by James Patterson with Jeffrey J. Keyes  caught my eye. It Begins:   It's a whisper past 10:00 p.m. in New Orleans' famous French Quarter, but it might as well be the middle

It's Monday! What are you reading? May 1

I've been on vacation the last week and while I brought my book and a few others just in case, I really haven't had a chance to really read. I believe I've read a total of 2 chapters. One chapter in two different books. I'm writing this on a very rainy Sunday afternoon. It's the perfect time to curl up and I think I'll be doing just that once I finish writing this post.
