20 Books to Read Before They're Adapted into 2012 Movies

I had no idea what to write about and I didn't want to not post anything since I'm challenging myself to come up with something at least twice a week.  Then I saw this article over on buzzsugar.com
20 Books to Read Before They're Adapted into 2012 Movies

One for the Money by Janet Evonovhch I've read the books up to like number 13 and then gave up, I'm probably not going to see the movie.
The Woman in Black by Susan Hill I'm not into horror movies so I'll be passing on this one
The Vow by Kim and Krickett Carpenter I'm seeing this!
The Lorax by Dr. Suess I'm seeing this!
John Carter on Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs I'm not seeing this
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins I'm seeing this! I just started the book...I know I'm a little late in starting, I've had the audiobook for awhile now just haven't listened to it.
The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks I'm not seeing this
The Wettest County in the World by Matt Bondurant I don't know about this one.  The story sounds interesting, this may be one I wait and watch on DVD

Comments

  1. I'm usually a super huge fan of audiobooks, but I was disappointed by the reader for the 2nd Hunger Games (I'm not sure if it's the same person for the 1st book). I had the printed books for the 1st and 3rd in the series and they went much faster!

The Nick Flynn one .... did you read the book? Just curious, I read the book he wrote after that one and had only so-so feelings about it.

  2. Darn! I was hoping my book was on the list and I just hadn't gotten the phone call (from Hollywood) yet.

Went to the 2013 NJLA Adult Services Forum...left with a book list.

Yesterday I attended the NJLA Adult Services Forum (don't worry you don't need to know what it is for this post) and while there attended one panel and spoke on another and walked away with a list of some new books to read.  Since I'm really behind in writing reviews I decided to just share these new books so I at least had a post for today!
