Summary (from goodreads):
Giovanna “Gia” Spumanti and her cousin Isabella “Bella” Rizzoli are going to have the sexiest summer ever. While they couldn’t be more different—pint-size Gia is a carefree, outspoken party girl and Bella is a tall, slender athlete who always holds her tongue—for the next month they’re ready to pouf up their hair, put on their stilettos, and soak up all that Seaside Heights, New Jersey, has to offer: hot guidos, cool clubs, fried Oreos, and lots of tequila.
Review:
One review I read, before reading the book myself, said that this was like Jersey Shore fan-fiction and I have to agree. Just like the show it was like a car wreck that you can't turn away from even though you know it's going to be bad.
I have to admit I liked the story, I don't know if it says anything about my taste in books at the moment but *shrug* I honestly had a hard time putting the book down, I wanted to know what kind of situations the cousins were going to get themselves into next.
I used to like books that the characters were getting into unbelievable situations all the time, but I wasn't annoyed that there was always a problem to overcome or that it just seemed so unlikely that some of these things were happening.
That being said, I really didn't like the ending. For the most part I like closure when I finish a book and this one had you thinking they were going to end one way but then POW it ended completely different. I know know the ending fits with the characters and the story but it just didn't work for me.
