"Turns out separate planets wasn't far enough." 


Marissa woke to warm sun on her face, the smell of coffee, and hushed voices. She smiled thinking about the journey that brought her to this place. The smile vanished when she heard the faint moos from outside.

“Turns out separate planets wasn’t far enough.” She groaned and covered her face with the pillow.

Nonfiction November: My Year in Nonfiction

Dallas Swat’s Day Off “What’s wrong?” She asked groggily waking from a sound sleep. “It’s work I have to go in. Sorry.” He climbs out of bed looking at his pager. “You know I understand.
