It Begins:

That spring, rain fell in great sweeping gusts that rattled the rooftops.

On Page 56:

Salvation Army. So he had planned ahead, thought of her the other day when they were in Homer. It made the ugly clothes almost beautiful.

Verdict:

I've only read the 1st chapter as the time of this posting. Normally I hold off on reading really popular books because I don't want to be swayed by reviews. Like this book, all the great reviews make me think I'm going to read something amazing, I don't want to be let down if I don't enjoy it, that being said, 1 chapter in and I think I really am going to enjoy this book.

Blind Date with a Book

Last year I put together a book display called Blind Date with a Book. I found the idea through another librarian's post and thought it was great. Last year I wrapped 19 books and 15 books were checked out. We asked that people reviewed the book but unfortunately only two people returned reviews.
