The days were getting shorter, so the light in the sky had started to fall away when the gate to our temporary home swung open and our motorcade edged beyond the fencing that surrounded the United States Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C.
On Page 56:
When Wei Tang gave me a final hug in front of his house, in front of the line of policemen standing guard, he held on to me tightly, for a long time, as if he could not bear to let me go.
Verdict:
I'm about half way through and I'm really enjoying the book. He's telling the story about the year his son was fighting brain cancer. It's a mix of his personal life and what he was working on at the time politically.
