So my plan is each Monday to update anyone who reads this on what I'm currently reading and what I may have finished in the last week.
Currently Reading:
Title: The Rouge Not Taken (Scandal & Scoundrel #1)
Author: Sarah MacLean
Date Started: June 11
Finished Reading:
Title: Turtles All the Way Down
Author: John Green
Date Started: June 6
Date Finished: June 8
Stars: 5 of 5
Review: Wow. Aza's anxiety takes her monkey brain on a spiral of internal worry. It was less dramatic than some of his other books but still heart-breaking. As someone who struggles with anxiety I could see some of myself in Aza and truthfully when Davis was talking about space, my own monkey brain spiral caused a panic attack.
Title: Black Betty
Author: Nisi Shaw
Narrator: LeVar Burton
Date Listened: June 7
Stars: 4 of 5
Review: This was a very emotional story about a dog and her journey to finding her place. Oh and the dog can talk.
Title: Uncommon Type
Author: Tom Hanks
Date Started: May 26
Date Finished: June 5
Stars: 5 of 5
Review: An enjoyable collection of short stories. They were fun, serious and a few were just out there.
