This week I'm reading: I'll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara
It Begins:
Prologue
That summer I hunted the serial killer at night from my daughter's playroom.
On Page 56:
A bloodhound following a scent trail had brought him to the spot. The trail began at a child's bedroom window, continued over a fence and through a field of weeds, stopping at the curb. Shelby knocked on the nearest door and looked across the field toward the victim's house, a distance of about two hundred feet. He wished away his unease.
Verdict:
As a true crime lover this case East Area Rapist/Original Night Stalker was always on my radar. I've listened to countless podcasts and was glued to the news the day they finally arrested him. I've been on hold for this book FOREVER and it's great to finally read it.
